Highland Adventure Fest 2019

We’re bringing an exciting new event to Inverness in the spring – The Highland Adventure Fest 2019.

A member of our team, Katie Masheter, has a real love for the outdoors and suggested the adventure festival in a team meeting towards the end of summer last year. She’d attended the Highland Tourism Conference where there had been lots of discussions about how great the highlands are for mountain biking, water sports, hiking and other activities. Katie had the idea of bringing adventure enthusiasts under one roof for a unique event that would showcase what is available on our doorstep. When recently asked about the event idea she said “the Highlands of Scotland really is an adventure playground and I feel it’s so important to get fresh air especially in our digital dependant society”.

After a lot of thought, preparations for the event began in November and the ‘first year event’ is really shaping up! We’re chuffed to have secured Glenmore Lodge, Sport Scotland’s National Outdoor Training Centre, as the headline sponsor. In a recent press release they stated “we’re delighted to be supporting the Highland Adventure Fest. It is our desire for everyone to discover what a slice of outdoor adventure can bring to our lives. Adventure is for everyone, just pick an adventure that is right for you, give it a go and you never know, you might just get hooked.”

The Highland Adventure Fest 2019 will take place 10am-4pm, Sunday 24th March 2019 at Inverness Leisure Centre. Festival-goers will be able to try out kit, buy new clothing and equipment, book activities and meet new people with similar interests while enjoying ‘adventure talks’ and entertainment!
